Hullo, everyone!! Not feeling too good this
morning... (Girls, you know what I mean...)
AAARRRRGGGGHHH!!!!!
Anyway, here's what I learned about this
stupid country over the weekend. Read it, it's
pretty interesting. Makes you think about this
'beautiful, most awesome country we live in,
and the people protecting us...
I went to go see the play with my dad and it
was really good. I guess I loved it because I'm
very much into that kind of artsy stuff. I'm
all about the beauty in theater, music and
what not. (By the way, I have my first guitar
lesson today and I TOTALLY forgot my tuner
and pick...can I borrow yours?) The play made
me realize how incredibly stupid and corrupt
the laws of this country are. It was weird cus
on the way to the theater, me and my dad
(LOVE the grammar!!) were talking about how
stupid these laws are. It started because my
cousin has lived here for almost 15 years, she
has no 'papers' and she wants to go to Mexico
for a school trip. The best part is that this trip
is worth $2,300 but since she has Financial Aide
(no 'papers' but gets government money )
that would cover the cost, therefore, she would
go for free. I don't know if you guys saw the
news about an african-american (NOT
discriminating, by the way) mom who burned
her daughter. This little girl happens to be the
daughter of one of my dad's co-workers. Here's
what the news forgot to mention: This guy got
in an argument with his wife. He went out for a
while, and left his daughter with her mother.
While he was gone, she hit her and what not.
When he got home, he found out what happened
and rushed his daughter to the nearest fire
station (he lives too far from a hospital) so they
can check her out. The firemen asked what
happened and he told them the story. The firemen
then called the cops to report the abuse and they
showed up at the station. They checked the guy on
their little computer things and found out that he
had a warrant for not paying some tickets. They
took him to jail, and the little girl was taken back
to her abusive mother. The mom, to get back at
her husband for taking her, burned her. Do you
think that after the guy reported that the wife
abused his daughter they would have at LEAST
taken her to another relative? A children's home?
And for those of you who like to support this
country's sh*% don't give me that it was the dad's
fault for not paying tickets. Wasn't it the cop's job
to protect this child? How come these laws protect
abusers, but deny a teen the chance to get to know
the country that saw her grow? Here's another case:
A man was trialed for the murder of a 3 year old
girl to life in prision (he confessed it). MONTHS later,
he tried to escape. He beat a prision guard, and
when another one tried to help she hit him to help
the other guard. Once they got him off and back
into his cell, he decided to sue the guard that hit
him. He went to court, WON his case, got $2,000 and
was let out of jail. Because a guard was actually
doing her job, the guy who killed a 3 year old got
REWARDED $2,000 and 3 months in jail. Imagine if
you were related to the little girl who got killed. How
would you feel?
I don't know about you, but I feel so...USELESS to
see that the people who have come to this country
for the so called "american dream" have to suffer
so much discrimination. They come to work their
@$$ off in jobs that most people wouldn't even
DREAM of doing. It makes me mad that the middle
eastern and asian people (NOT discriminating) are
known as the "terrorists", but they never get as
punished as latin-american people. Think about this
for one second, and tell me this country isn't
corrupt. NOTE: I know that this country isn't the
only guilty one, for if the countries where people
immigrate from weren't as they are, there'd be no
reason for people to immigrate to this "better life."
I hope you read through this entirely. I didn't write
it to attack anyone or to offend anyone. I just want
my opinion to be known and for people to see the
other side of this country. TOODLES!!! |
